Save the Date - South Plainfield's Fall Volunteer Litter Clean-Up on Saturday, September 18

The South Plainfield Clean Communities Advisory Board has announced their Fall, 2021, Borough-wide litter cleanup for Saturday, September 18th, 2021, starting at 9 am. Volunteers can collect equipment and clean-up assignments behind the Municipal Building at 2480 Plainfield Avenue from 9 to 10 a.m. Clean up times start immediately after registration to 12 noon. You can organize a crew or come with a buddy to help you with the cleanup as we do not want solo crews going out for safety purposes.

For this Fallís clean up, the SPCCAB is focusing their cleanup on the Adopt-A-Spots that are not been adopted and need to be cleaned up. These cleanups will include roadsides, parks, streams and vacant lots to be cleared of litter and trash during the morning.

Equipment and cleanup reports should be turned in at the municipal building by noon.

If you would like to participate in this fallís clean up, please contact Alice Tempel, the Clean Communities Coordinator, at (908) 226-7621 for more information or email her at atempel@southplainfieldnj.com.

If you would like more information on the Adopt-A-Spot Program, please contact Debra Anne Leporino, Chairperson, South Plainfield Clean Business Association, via email at spcba@southplainfieldnj.com or call (908) 510-3663.
