Kober Family Adopts the Clinton Avenue Extension

(South Plainfield, May 20.) Kevin Kober has signed an agreement with the South Plainfield Clean Business Association to adopt the Clinton Avenue Extension. Among other endeavors, Kevin Kober works part-time for the Borough of South Plainfield as a Clean Neighborhood Program Aide. He is responsible for maintaining the borough’s right-of-way free of obstructions, including illegally posted signs and roadside debris. Mr. Kober volunteered to take over this Spot, contributing his considerable litter removal skills pro bono, after Timber Creek Landscaping relinquished it a few month ago. This adoption expands on the previous adoption to cover the entire road length from Sampton Avenue to New Market Avenue. A heavily traveled connector road, Clinton Avenue Extension crosses both the Bound Brook and the railroad tracks, which creates many opportunities for litter to accumulate. Mr. Kober began picking up trash there even before the Adopt-A-Spot agreement was finalized, just to keep things from getting out of control. The Kober Family has resided in the Borough for over twenty years and appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the community in this way. The family would like to encourage any resident or business in the community to participate in the Adopt-A-Spot program. A relatively small investment in time provides a notable improvement in the appearance and quality of life for everyone! The CBA is looking for more Adopters for roadsides and open space locations.
