A. Debris should be placed at the curb in front of each residence no more than two (2) days before the scheduled pickup. All appliance doors must be removed from said appliances prior to placement at the curb.Q. What items can be placed at the curb for pickup?

A. Where possible the items should be either tied or boxed (wood can be no longer than 3'-4' long and 2'-3' wide). If this is not possible, items should be neatly placed at the curb (see www.southplainfieldnj.com see departments/bulk waste for restrictions).Q. How much stuff can be placed at the curb on any given pickup?
A. The amount of waste cannot exceed 3ft-wide x 3ft-high x 8ft-long.Q. Can household appliances be put out for collection?
A. Yes, however, all appliance doors must be removed prior to placing them out for collection and inform the Public Works Department at the time of scheduling an appliance will be at the curb for pickup also.
The existing Compactor & Yard Waste Facilities will remain available for residential use. Compactor Coupons and Yard Waste Decals are available at the Public Works Department Monday through Friday from 7:00am and 3:30pm and at the Municipal Clerk's Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.

All Christmas Trees in the Borough shall be placed at the curb for collection between January 2 and January 31 each year.
Trees will be picked up throughout the entire Borough during this period, regardless of the district you reside in.
If so desired, residents may bring their trees to the Borough's Compost Facility located at 882 Kenneth Avenue. Please remove all ornaments, lights and stands from trees.
